The Texas Music Festival pairs burgeoning young musicians with seasoned professionals for a series of concerts throughout June.

Lets be clear about something straightaway: the Texas Music Festival is not the Lone Star State’s equivalent of Lollapalooza or a similar music festival.

Rather, it’s a part of an expansive music program meant to help foster young (college/post grad.) musicians for burgeoning careers in the music industry.

The end result of this program is the Immanuel and Helen Olshan Texas Music Festival, an event that stretches from June 4th-July 1st at the University of Houston’s Moores Opera House, and pairs a plethora of up-and-coming musicians with members of the Houston Symphony, Houston Grand Opera and Ballet orchestras, as well as some internationally recognized musicians in an effort to help them garner experience with orchestral, chamber music, and solo performances.

If you’re a fan of classic music, or just want to experience some of the Houston music scene’s rising stars perform, then the Texas Music Festival is a fantastic event to do so.

Some TMF concerts are free, others are a nominal price.

The Morrres Opera House is located 20 minutes away from your Webster apartments.
